Gifts!

Okay this is a secret.. This is the best coffee ever. And though I am no connoisseur, this is my personal favorite average run-of-the-mill brand of Cupp-a-Joe.

Thanks Bev & Jeff for the thoughtful birthday gift. Trust me, I just ran out of the last bag I had, and this is A superrrrrr gift!

If you wonder why you never tried this coffee when visiting our house, like I said it is a secret!

Trip to Missouri

Conrad loved the plane ride... Well he was really great the entire trip, however we was bored the last 20 minutes, and did not forget to keep us informed of the fact.

Month One

This has been a very interesting week!

My 7 yr old nephew has been placed in our care. We will take him to a new school tomorrow and set up after school care until I get home.

He is very smart..... and is actually too smart, he bores easily. We will have to keep him busy learning.

We will do our best to ensure that he is safe, has structure, and is very much loved.

We already love the little man!

Colorful Tulips

These were planted before we arrived. They are very colorful. The cherry blossoms are "snowing" covering our yard like our house is in a snow globe!

Front Garden

This is the view from our window onto the front garden.

Later in the day I went out and put bark in the garden areas. So beautiful to be out in the garden today!

Sunny Day

Today was a great day to take some time out and sit outside on the deck. Scott was disturbed by the way one of the large ornamental cherry trees looked in the back yard. It has grey fungus like moss on it and looks ill.

So on my laptop, he is looking into an arborist to possibly check out the condition of all of our trees and shrubs. A thought anyway, who knows if someone will come out. We have other pressing things!

Laundry Day Organized

Laundry is a pain! Make it easier by making it more appealing. Put color in the room, and artwork you like. You don't have to be super crafty to label baskets.

I used Paper Source mailing Labels, mini alphas, a coordinating paper matching my paint color, and then punched holes and added twine.

For fun I labelled the little bucket we put lint in as "trash"

Now, I don't mind spending time in there ..so much......

Conrad's Childhood Keepsakes

My brother Dustin had stored some things in the spare room. When going through everything and getting rid of the excess before our move to our new house, I found a box of toys. I went through them and kept a small box. I thought it would be a great idea to present my nephew with them when he is much older and will keep them for him until he gets a place of his own.

I have seen a few shadow box craft blogs and wow, I knew what I wanted to do right away.

I think these turned out pretty cool.
